• New Cycle: Thursdays, May 23 - August 22, 2024, 7-9pm via Zoom

    Divorce is one of the most painful experiences you can face. So many emotions. So many challenges. But you don't have to go through it alone. DivorceCare is a 13-week support group that helps you heal from the pain of separation or divorce. The experience involves three main components designed to help in that healing:

    1. A 30-minute video offering practical advice and insights from divorce recovery experts, and real-life stories from people who have been where you are;
    2. A focused support group discussing what you learned from the video and talking about how to apply it. Additionally, there is time for participants to share, as they feel led, their own trials and growth;
    3. A participant guide with exercises and articles for recovery and personal growth, parenting tips and practical tools to help you heal.

    DivorceCare topics include emotional healing from deep hurt, anger, grief, loneliness and anxiety; overcoming relationship struggles with family and friends following divorce; and finally handling practical challenges like single living, and financial and legal issues.

    If you or someone you know is struggling and could use help with any of the topics above, DivorceCare may be the next important step to healing.

    Summerville Presbyterian Church will be offering a new online (Zoom) DivorceCare cycle Thursday evenings from 7-9 pm beginning Thursday, May 24 and concluding August 22, 2024.

    You may register at DivorceCare.org.  On the site's home page, type in your zip code and click on "Find a Group".  Then select the Summerville Presbyterian church offering.  You will need to purchase your participant guidebook ($20) as you register.  There are no other fees.
