• Healing and Hope through...

New Cycle: Thursdays, August 29-November 21, 2024 from 7-9 pm

Grief resulting from the death of a spouse, child, family member, or friend can be a devastating event and no two people will grieve and heal in quite the same way or in the same time frame. Often, as time moves forward and family and friends return to their own lives, those who are grieving are left in solitude to find their way in a seemingly hopeless world.

As one avenue to continue ministering to our members and community in need of more support, the SPC Nurture Ministry Team offers the GriefShare Ministry, a 13-week, non-denominational network that features biblical concepts for healing. Each session is led by trained lay members at SPC and includes three segments: video seminar, a small group discussion group, and workbook experiences.

If you or someone you know is struggling through the grief of losing someone, GriefShare maybe the next important step to healing.

Our next GriefShare cycle will begin Thursday, August 29, 2024 and run consecutive Thursdays through November 21, 2024. We meet from 7-9 pm in the Dorchester Room, located on the breezeway next to the Sanctuary on S. Laurel Street. New members are welcome to join us at anytime during the cycle.

All those interested in attending must register on the GriefShare website at GriefShare.org. On the site’s homepage, type in your zip code and click on “Find a Group.” Then select the Summerville Presbyterian Church offering. You will need to purchase your workbook ($20) when you register.  There are no other fees.
